During my Naturopathic practice years, when a client was coming to see me for a medical condition looking for alternative ways to help themselves, the first thing I was asking them was “Have you talked about this with your doctor? Did you get the right medical diagnosis or did you create one of your own from the Internet or someone you know having similarities?”, and the last thing I was telling them before ending a session as part of their homework was “tell your doctor you saw me and that we will work together, because we might work on your emotions and mindset related to your conditions, but you must also work with your doctor to help your condition so you can see how your Inner work you are doing impact positively your condition to maybe adjust your treatment if and when necessary.”
I discovered then that many times it is a great help for the person to understand what is going on with their body and within their body, to better understand their mindset and limitations, and I am not a medical doctor.
Today, working as a metaphysical practitioner and spiritual teacher, I am working on self-love and lifting up the ego veil towards a better spiritual and mental well-being, and even thought I became an expert in dissecting the emotions felt from illnesses ̶ the beautiful emotional limitations they can uncover, when a medical condition is taking too much mind space, it’s better to address it with the right professional as each one of us have our certification and expertise. This can help then the person to better understand what is going on in their body, so they can let go of all the ego-based questions making them believe they could have this or that and focus on their emotional pain from what they are experiencing to lift up that ego veil.
